damnyoukira here with an important announcement: This year marks the tenth anniversary of Death Note, and we plan to celebrate in style.

We’ll be gathering works here from all our talented fans (and former fans, welcome back!). Starting March 3rd, we will post two fanworks from our endless pool of submissions. This is where you come in.

Anything goes! Whether you’re a writer, an artist, or wherever your talents may lie, we want you to submit your work for the glory of celebrating everything that is Death Note.

Some things to note: Ten Years of Death Note intends to glorify all aspects of Death Note, so please don’t limit yourself to writing/drawing/etc major characters. The sign-up sheet includes a list of all characters, and you’re encouraged to select someone you may not have created something for in the past. Also, if one character receives a slew of submissions, he/she will be removed from the list for variation’s sake. So sign up early!

Once you sign up, you’ll receive an email from the admin with your due date. Submissions will be due on a weekly basis (so I’m not bombarded), so it is essentialthat you check your email and submit your work on time. If you submit late without notice, not only will your work not be posted but you will also be blacklisted from future events/giveaways.

The earliest due date will be March 1st, so get creating!

_{Fine print: Never, ever use someone else’s artwork and claim it as your own. Do not trace someone else’s artwork. Do not use fanart for fanmix covers. The only art that’s okay to edit is official art, and I know DN’s official art well so I will know. Needless to say, anything that includes use of someone else’s artwork will not be posted.}
