as for your question, i think everybody (or at least people with interest in writing?) has their darling ocs in their heart that they’ve nursed for years. as it goes, i’ve started several short stories about original characters and finished none (except for my 2012 nano novel which was about boys who make out in a forest in austria for like 50k and it was very terrible). i’m just awful at working on or finishing anything without a schedule set, and for the past year and some months, nights has taken up the majority of my scheduled writing time. i’ve definitely gotten better at getting things done and having a solid work ethic in that time tho, so when i’m done i’d of course like to set some goals for original work. but also still have time for fanfic? man, there’s so much fanfic i wanna write, the majority of it being for death note at present.

my ocs are probably not much cooler than anybody else’s but numbering among them are: devil hunting lesbians with a pseudo-incestuous and definitely dysfunctional relationship, an amorphous blobby monster made of fear and his plucky 5-year-old traveling companion, a plantation owner’s dead wife and her child bodied vampire comrade who had been a slave on said plantation, and the norse god freja living in semi-modern times with a family of homunculi that she’d created from the mostly destroyed spirits of the rest of her pantheon. you know, cheery stuff like that.
