it really DEPENDS ON CHARACTERIZATION??? i’ve never much thought about them and linda is basically characterized however you want her to be and near tends to get really cutesy sweetie baby characterization

so i’d say i would ship it if near was emotionally stunted and stumbling and vaguely condescending and linda wouldn’t let him get away with shit but would also be there when he needed her to be because for all his genius and capability parts of him are just scared little boy parts and as wammy’s kids go she came out just functional enough to be willing and able to deal with his stuff when he can’t
