It sucks that Death Note, a show about geniuses that routinely ignores/acknowledges the achievements of the ladies, completely overlooks how fucking talented and above-average professionally they are:

• kiyomi is a 20something broadcast anchor who is also a TV personality and celebrity. imagine how many work hours she put in every week just to get to that position.
• misa is a fucking idol with a fandom and a cosmetic line and has been on magazine covers.
• wedy hacks and steals for a living, and was skilled enough to be hired by L, the greatest detective. the level of thievery required in the modern age to impress L must be staggering. she also drives a motorbike, i mean, come on
• naomi is an fbi investigator so fucking scary they called her “misora massacre.” like, people who hunt down serial killers for a living found her so brutal they had to nickname her.
