i like to think that he didn’t actually know his parents, and/or he knew them but didn't know they were his parents

i’ve read so many awesome backstories for L in fic tho it’s honestly hard to pick a favorite or one that i actually consider my prime headcanon. a few things i can settle on are: his parents probably weren’t married, one or both of them was kind of like “we don’t want this kid” and bb!L was like “that’s okay i don’t want you either”
